Turmeric Tea Poached White Fish

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 2 tbsp Turmeric & Ginger Blend Enhanced Herbal Tea
  • 10 - 12 oz (280 - 340 g) white fish fillets
  • 2 tsp Seafood & Fish Seasoning
  • Sea Salt, to taste
  • Black Pepper, to taste

Preparation

  • Combine water, lemon juice, and Tea in a frying pan and bring to a boil. Steep for 5 minutes, strain, and return liquid to pan.
  • Season fish with Seafood & Fish Seasoning, Sea Salt, and Black Pepper.
  • Gently place fish in liquid, cover pan and simmer for 8–12 minutes (depending on thickness of fillets), spooning hot liquid overtop as the fish cooks.
  • Fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork. Remove with a slotted spoon and serve with mashed potatoes or rice pilaf.
