Tofu Fries

Serve with your favourite Epicure aioli or dip.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg (14 oz/400 g) extra-firm tofu
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp Fajita Seasoning, or Epicure seasoning of your choice

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 475° F (245° C).
  • Cut tofu lengthwise into four slabs. Place on a Sheet Pan lined with paper towels, cover with another layer of paper towels, and cover with something heavy, like a frying pan. Let stand for 10 minutes until liquid has pressed out.
  • Remove tofu from paper towels and cut slabs lengthwise into six thin strips.
  • Brush tofu with oil and sprinkle with seasoning.
  • Arrange on a crisper and bake for 10–15 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown.
