Steamed Mussels with Aioli

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (900 g) fresh mussels
  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce
  • 1 can (28 oz/796 ml) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (28 oz/796 ml) crushed tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp Marinara Sauce Mix
  • 14 cup water or white wine
  • 14 cup Roasted Garlic Aioli
  • 1 tbsp Roasted Garlic Aioli Mix
  • 1 cup light mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp lemon juice, optional

Preparation

  • Rinse mussels and remove beards.
  • In a Multipurpose Pot, bring Marinara Sauce and water to a boil on the stovetop. Add mussels. Cover and cook for 4–6 minutes, or until all mussels have opened. Stir halfway through cooking.
  • Discard any unopened mussels. Spoon mussels into bowls and top each with dollop of Roasted Garlic Aioli.
