Spiked Monte Cristo Sandwich

Makes one super-hearty sandwich or the perfect sandwich for sharing.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp CCB Dip, prepared
  • 3 tbsp CCB Dip Mix
  • 1 cup sour cream, or yogurt
  • 1 cup light mayonnaise
  • 2 slices multigrain or whole-wheat bread
  • 1 - 2 slices smoked ham or turkey
  • 1 - 2 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 14 cup Poco Picante Salsa, prepared
  • 2 tbsp Poco Picante Salsa Mix
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp lime juice, optional
  • cilantro, optional

Preparation

  • Spread CCB Dip over bread slices. Top with meat and cheese.
  • Heat frying pan over medium heat. Add butter.
  • Brush sandwich with egg, and cook until golden brown, approximately 2–3 minutes per side.
  • Cut into halves or quarters and serve with Poco Picante Salsa.
