Sesame Crunch Chickpea Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 can (19 oz/540 ml) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 small zucchini, grated
  • 2 slices sandwich bread (gluten-free, if desired)
  • 14 cup crunchy peanut or almond butter
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Ginger Dressing Mix
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Crunch Topper
  • Sea Salt, to taste
  • Black Pepper, to taste
  • vegetable oil, for grilling

Preparation

  • In a food processor, or with a masher, combine chickpeas, zucchini, bread, nut butter, Sesame Ginger Dressing Seasoning, Sesame Crunch Topper, Sea Salt, and Black Pepper. Pulse until roughly chopped.
  • Form the mixture into four patties. Patties can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Heat a fry pan to medium. Add oil and pan-fry patties for approximately 5 minutes per side, until crisp and brown on the outside and warmed through. Serve with your favourite burger buns and fixings.
