Rich Cocoa Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 34 cup cocoa powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 12 tsp baking powder
  • 1 12 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup walnut pieces

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350° F (175° C).
  • Lightly spray a 9 x 13" pan with vegetable oil.
  • Melt butter in large bowl. Add both sugars and cocoa and stir well.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla extract.
  • Whisk together flour and baking powder. Combine both mixtures, add walnuts and pour into prepared pan.
  • Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
