Ingredients

  • 12 cup butter
  • 14 cup brown sugar
  • 14 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 2 cups graham wafer crumbs
  • 12 cup walnut crumbs
  • 14 cup butter
  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 2 tbsp custard powder
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 12 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp butter

Preparation

  • For the base, combine first 5 ingredients in a double boiler over simmering water. Stir until mixture resembles custard. Add coconut, graham wafer crumbs and walnut crumbs. Press into 9 x 13" pan to form base.
  • For the middle layer, cream butter with icing sugar, custard powder and thin with milk. Spread over base and let sit for 15 minutes.
  • Melt chocolate with butter until smooth, pour over top.
  • Let set and cut in squares with a hot, dry knife.
