Maple Bacon Braised Kale

Ingredients

  • 3 strips bacon, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 12 cups Vegetable Broth
  • 1 12 tsp Vegetable Broth Mix
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 lb (450 g) kale, stems and inner ribs removed
  • Sea Salt, to taste
  • Black Pepper, to taste

Preparation

  • Cook bacon in a frying pan until crisp. Stir in Minced Garlic and Bouillon. Bring to a boil.
  • Add kale a handful at a time, letting it wilt before adding more. Season with Sea Salt and Pepper.
  • Cover and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, or until kale is tender.
  • Uncover and cook until liquid has evaporated. Transfer to a bowl and serve.
