Ooh là là! Innovative microwave cooking means no more mushy lentils. And, they’ll be ready in just a matter of minutes. Serve as a side with salmon, roasted veggies, and quinoa; add to salads or sautéed greens; or serve on toast or pitas. C’est magnifique!

Ingredients

  • 1 can (19 oz/540 ml) lentils, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cups mixed frozen veggies
  • 2 tbsp Herb & Garlic Dip Mix or Rosemary Garlic Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or unsalted butter

Preparation

  • In Square Steamer, combine lentils, veggies, dip mix, and oil. Cover and microwave on high 5–6 min. Stir before serving.

Tips

French lentils are a variety of small, green lentils. To cook them, add 2 1⁄4 cups dried lentils to 6 cups boiling water; reduce heat and simmer for 20–25 min, or until tender. Drain any excess water and serve immediately.
