DIY Graham Crackers

It’s easier to buy a box of graham crackers…but these are naturally flavoured and so much tastier!

Ingredients

  • 2 14 cups whole wheat flour
  • 13 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon or Apple Pie Spice
  • 12 tsp baking soda
  • 12 tsp Sea Salt
  • 34 cup butter, cold, cut into cubes
  • 14 cup molasses
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350° F (175° C).
  • Add the first six ingredients to an electric mixer and pulse to combine.
  • Add the butter and pulse until it’s the consistency of cornmeal.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and pulse until combined.
  • On a floured board, roll out to 1.3" thick. Cut into squares and place on a Sheet Pan lined with a Sheet Pan Liner. Use a fork to poke decorative holes into cookies.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, or until the edges darken.
