Chocolate Crostinis

Bread and chocolate is a common after-school snack for children in Spain. Add olive oil and sea salt to turn these little bites into a grown-up affair.

Ingredients

  • 16 slices baguette 1/4" thick, approximately half a baguette
  • 13 cup olive oil
  • 13 cup dark Belgian chocolate
  • 1 tbsp olive oil, for garnish
  • Sea Salt, coarsely ground to taste

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 375° F (190° C).
  • Lightly brush baguette slices with oil and place on Sheet Pan lined with parchment paper. Bake approximately 10 minutes, until golden on each side.
  • Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle each with approximately 1 tsp dark Belgian chocolate. Return to oven for an additional 2 minutes. Remove.
  • Add a drop of oil and coarsely grind Sea Salt over each. Serve.
