Chocolate Cranberry Truffles

Sweet gift idea: tuck these into a small box lined with tissue paper.

Ingredients

  • 1 14 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 12 cup cranberry sauce
  • 2 tbsp whipping cream
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp icing sugar

Preparation

  • Melt first 3 ingredients in a metal or glass bowl over steaming (not boiling) water, stirring regularly.
  • Remove mixture from heat. Cool to room temperature. Once cool, place bowl in refrigerator for minimum 30 minutes.
  • Place cocoa and icing sugar on separate plates. Roll teaspoons of chilled truffle mixture in hands (truffles can be irregular in shape), then roll in either Cocoa or icing sugar.
  • Store in refrigerator and remove 5 minutes prior to serving.
