Beef Stroganoff

This year is all about cozy nostalgia, and what better way to indulge that than to throw it back with this beef stroganoff? One pot, loads of comfort, and a whole lot of flavour make this classic dish one for the books.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) beef strips
  • 1 pkg Beef Stroganoff Seasoning, divided
  • 3 tbsp oil, divided
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce, divided
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 package (8 oz/227 g) sliced mushrooms, about 2½ cups
  • 1 cup water
  • 34 cup light sour cream
  • 6 cups cooked egg noodles or pasta of your choice

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine beef with 1 tbsp each seasoning, oil, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Toss to combine and set aside.
  • In Sauté Pan, heat remaining 2 tbsp oil over medium-high heat; add mushrooms. Sauté until softened, 3–4 min. Add seasoned beef to pan and sauté until browned, about 2–3 min.
  • Stir in remaining seasoning and soy sauce, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium. Stir in sour cream. Cover and simmer 3 min.
  • Serve over cooked egg noodles or pasta.
