Delish Vietnamese-inspired burger with flavours of lemongrass, onion, and garlic with low, medium heat from paprika. Great for chicken or pork burgers garnished with fresh cucumber and carrot. Choosing whole-wheat buns is an easy way to increase fibre in your diet.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) lean ground pork
  • 2 tbsp Bánh mì Burger Seasoning
  • 12 English cucumber
  • 14 red onion
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • 1 cup matchstick carrots

Preparation

  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Lightly brush with oil.
  • In a large bowl, combine pork and seasoning. Using a fork or your hands, mix until well blended. Form into four equal patties.
  • Grill with lid closed 3–4 min per side, until cooked through.
  • Meanwhile, thinly slice cucumber and onion.
  • Tuck burgers into buns and top with cucumber, onion, and carrots.

Tips

Pickle your veggies to add a yummy tang to your burger. In a Multipurpose Pot – 8 Cup, bring 1⁄2 cup water, 1⁄4 cup rice vinegar, 1 tbsp sugar, and 1 tbsp seasoning to a boil. Pour over sliced vegetables until veggies are fully submerged. Cool completely.
