Asian Beef Stir-fry
One of the top ten recommended foods, broccoli is rich in vitamins and minerals, and may help prevent cancer.
Ingredients
- 1 recipe prepared Asian Lettuce Wraps, cooked beef
- 1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef, chicken, pork, or soy
- 2 1⁄2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce, divided
- 1 tbsp Asian Stir-Fry Seasoning
- 1 tbsp Sesame Ginger Dressing Mix
- 1⁄4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 cup coleslaw mix
- 8 - 16 leaves butter or iceberg lettuce
- 1 tsp Minced Garlic
- 1 lb (450 g) fresh or frozen broccoli florets
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1⁄2 cup Vegetable Broth, prepared
- 1 1⁄2 tsp Vegetable Broth Mix
- 1 cup boiling water
- Chili Flakes & Garlic Topper, optional
Preparation
- Heat a Wok or frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Add beef and Minced Garlic. Stir-fry for 3–5 minutes. Add broccoli.
- Whisk together cornstarch and Vegetable Broth and add to pan.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for approximately 5 minutes, or until broccoli is tender-crisp and sauce thick. Add chili peppers, if desired. Serve.
